Review

This was S. Ferguson's debut novel but i read her second book first, they both can be read as standalone's. I just knew after i had read Between the Secrets that i had to read this. I have fell hard for this gripping series and for this authors writing. I can honestly say both books are so well written you would never guess that she has only wrote two!!! Both of these story's have grabbed me from the beginning and i feel they will always stay. They are not easy reads at some points, with references of rape, child abuse, insecurities and self blame. I was on an emotional roller coaster and my heart felt every emotion even down to protectiveness for each of these characters.

In Something There In Between we have the beautiful Bree. Raised by her mother that only saw her as a burden. She was cruel and took her anger out on Bree leaving the scars of verbal and physical abuse. When the first boy she falls in love offers her a way out she takes the chance with him. They runaway at the age of 16, they live a hard life on the streets and then her boyfriend tells her he's found them "work". Bree is very unsure because the man is well known in the community and is feared by others. The story becomes even more intriguing at this point!!

Bree's boyfriend is a douchebag not only does he break her heart, he leaves her with such feelings of insecurities and self doubt he just's add's fuel to the burning inferno her mother created.Will Bree ever be able accept help from others and feel deserving of love?

Declan, oh Declan you made me fall so hard for you. With your broken but not beaten soul and your caring heart. With the past he and his brother experienced he sees the same familiar sadness and pain in Bree and wants to be the one to help and protect her. Declan's brother offers him a job working for Ron the owner of the bar. When he realises that he will be working along side Bree he see's it as his chance to get closer to the girl with so much sadness. Bree and Declan soon becomes all each other can think about and the closeness may be just to much for both of them to resist. Their chemistry is a hot and emotional but will their time together be all they need to break down the walls that Bree has built up to protect her from herself.

I highly recommend Something There in Between, it has everything we want in a great read, drama, suspense, sexual passion, surprises and emotion. S. Ferguson i have you on my stalker list now and you can't get away!! I'm looking forward to what is coming from your future stories.
