"All-consuming, deep, seductive, so damn emotional—this book is everything I expect from Jewel E. Ann.”
—Pam Godwin, New York Times bestselling author
Look the Part, an all-new “emotional and breathtaking” standalone from
Jewel E. Ann is LIVE!
Synopsis
Flint Hopkins finds the perfect tenant to rent the space above his Minneapolis-based law office.
All the T’s are crossed and I’s dotted on Ellen’s application. Her references are good. And she’s easy on the eyes.
Until …
Flint discovers Ellen Rodgers, Board-Certified Music Therapist, plays music. Bongos, guitars, singing—not Beethoven administered through noise-cancelling headphones.
The cut-throat attorney serves up an eviction notice to the bubbly, constantly-humming redhead who's too sexy for her own good. But luck is on Ellen’s side when Flint’s autistic son, Harrison, takes an instant liking to her. A single dad can’t compete with guitars—and rats. Yes, she has pet rats.
This woman …
She’s annoyingly happy with a constant need to touch him—adjust his tie, button his shirt, invade his space, and mess with his mind.
Still …
She must go.
Their lust-hate relationship escalates into something beautiful and tragic. This sexy, romantic-comedy explores the things we want, the things we need, and the impossible decisions parents and children make to survive.

REVIEW
When the Prologue pulls you in and puts your heart in your mouth you know you're in for a great emotional read and Jewel E. Ann certainly delivers.
LOOK THE PART: is a full length standalone contemporary romance novel and is told in ‘Dual Perspectives’.
"Feelings are our greatest compass. They will always lead you to the truth."
Flint Hopkins had the perfect life, a loving wife, a two year old son who they love beyond words and are planning to expand their family. Everything changes one night while out celebrating his birthday leaving him widowed and raising his son alone. Now ten years later, Raising his son Harrison has brought it's own challenges and Flint is still trying to pick up the pieces while drowning in guilt that he still harbours. Flint never expected his life to change again. But that all changed when his new tenant came banging into his life.
"Live or die, Flint ... but don't sit in the fucking middle just ... existing."
Ellen Rodgers is bubbly and fun, with the attitude that life is too short not to be who you are. Helping and healing people through music therapy is not only her job but her passion. She's moving into her new office space and trying to move forward with her life after her world came crashing down. Things are about to get very interesting for Elle after meeting her new landlord now deemed as “sexy guy in a suit” who is nothing but serious and abrupt with her. Elle just can't help herself when ruffling his feathers even when she's putting her foot in her mouth.
Look The Part was an all-consuming, deep, emotional, sexy seductive read. This is why i love Jewel E. Ann reads every second of the pain, desperation, love, and happiness these characters go through you feel. There was great chemistry not just between Flint and Elle. But the closeness of family how they talked to each other was not only endearing but quite funny too.
Flint’s son, Harrison at time really stole the show for me. He may be socially awkward and emotionally detached, but his bluntness is charming and you can't help but smile and laugh at the way he sees things. Again the family life was not only heartwarming i felt was portrayed in a realistic light.
There is so much more to this read and i would highly recommend if you love a read that truly has it all.
