Nadia Lee is a new to me author, i love Rom-Com's so didn't hesitate when i read the blurb to this read. Nadia Lee might be new to me but no more, i loved this hot, rom-com it was a light read with low angst and low drama. A perfect light hearted read that will have you smiling and give all the happy feels.
Jan Doe is a 22 year old virgin, who has had 5 one night stands but bailing on her dates not feeling the connection to go all the way. That is until her 5th "one night stand" with him she could have seen more but self doubt and panicking sends her bailing once again!! So it's a shocker when Jan see's Matt (the 5th stand) moving in next door to her. What comes even more than a shock is when Matt is now working at her families company.
Jan tries to stay away, but Matt has other plans he see so much in her but she doubts herself all the time and can't see why! Along the way we see the insecurity Jan has for relationships because of her family this gave me a better understanding because at sometimes i just wanted to shout at her to open her eyes. Her father has never been in the picture and she know little of him and she lost her mother at a young age. We do get answers at the end of what happened with her family because throughout the book, Jan feels that her family doesn't like her or think she fits in.
The chemistry and connection between Matt and Jan is wonderful i really enjoyed the banter. Matt knew when to take control and when to pull back even when Jan wants to move forward. He built her up even thought she constantly doubted herself you could tell early on his feeling for Jan he just needed her to catch up.
If you're looking for a light hearted read then look no further and i can't wait for the next book in the Sweet Darlings series!!
