REVIEW
The way Maya Hughes writes her stories for this series is SO much more than your typical hockey/sports romance. After reading Shameless King, I was really intrigued about Heath and was so excited to finally start Reckless King and every book thats to come from these kings!!
Heath is fighting inner demons from his past, he came across as such a broody, emotional, and damaged guy. Due to his past he is always questioning himself. He doubts himself constantly, but always tries to do the right thing in every situation. My heart grew and grew for Heath and i just wanted him to have his HEA with Kara being his perfect match.
Kara is such a strong heroine, she too has been through some hard times. She’s a strong young woman and she deserves way more than she believes she’s capable of. She doesn't want to let anyone down and she is guarding her heart even when it is screaming to take a chance. All of her doubts, concerns, worries, and fears for her future were so real.
These two shouldn’t have worked together, but somehow they did and even though there were some heartbreaking moments, the journey they took together was worth it in the end.
