Blurb

Nerdy, introverted genius lepidopterist, Lawson Gale, is an expert on butterflies. He finds himself in a small town in Tasmania on a quest from an old professor to find an elusive species that may or may not even exist.

Local Parks and Wildlife officer, Jack Brighton, is an ordinary guy who loves his life in the sleepy town of Scottsdale. Along with his Border collie dog, Rosemary, his job, and good friends, he has enough to keep from being lonely.

But then he meets Lawson, and he knows he's met someone special. There's more to catching butterflies, Jack realises. Sometimes the most elusive creatures wear bowties, and sometimes they can't be caught at all.

Lawson soon learns there are butterflies he can't learn about it in books. They exist only in a touch, in a kiss, in a smile. He just has to let go first, so these butterflies can fly.

Imago is the story of finding love, bowties, and butterflies.

Imago was a beautiful heart warming read and i loved every page of it. From the way Lawson spoke so eloquently to how Jack treated Lawson like he was the most precious think he'd ever seen. If you're looking for a sweet, endearing, charming read then this is one for you. But don't get me wrong the read just isn't sweet they do have their moments together but it is very low on drama and angst.

Lawson Gale is a lepidopterist, a butterfly specialist. He's arrived in Tasmania in search of a new species of butterfly, its only ever been spotted years ago and has never been recorded since most don't believe it exists but he cannot pass up such an opportunity. Lawson is and knows he's totally geeky and often find's social settings uncomfortable but this made him even more endearing.

Jack Brighton lives and works in Tasmania as a Parks and Wildlife officer. He's tall, manly and a totally out doorsie person.   When he first see's the geeky guy in the bowtie he's instantly attracted which shocks him as thats not usually the type of guy he goes for. So when he sees the same guy having trouble renting a car, he steps in and offers his assistance. How could he not, after all?

Jack comes across a bit intimidating to Lawson, but Jack is a teddy bear with a big heart. I loved the connection between these two characters both completely different but come together perfectly.

"I came to Tasmania in search of an elusive species." ... "But never in my wildest dreams did I expect to find you."

Their dates were perfect for them, I loved the giving of flowers, I loved how they were so respectful and interested of each others chosen field. All i can say is i loved from the very first page to the last written word. I'm looking forward to the next book Imagines.

Author Bio

N.R. Walker is an Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance. She loves writing and spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn't have it any other way.

She is many things; a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty, pretty boys who she gives them life with words.

She likes it when they do dirty, dirty things...but likes it even more when they fall in love. She used to think having people in her head talking to her was weird, until one day she happened across other writers who told her it was normal.

She's been writing ever since...
