Will a centuries-old broken heart ruin the promise of new love?
Dominic Ashworth is descended from a long line of witches, although the family practice of witchcraft died out generations ago. Forever connected to a dark history, the house he grew up in remained in the Ashworth family for generations until his estranged father sold it.
On a mission to check out the new owners, Dominic runs into Caleb Jones and gives the gorgeous man his phone numberóbut getting a date should be the last thing on Dominicís agenda.
Caleb and his best friend, Zach Briceworth, are oblivious to the heartache and magic tied to the foundations of their new home. When strange things start to happen, the truth emerges and surprises them both, especially as everything revolves around Calebís new love interest.
After a shaky start, Caleb and Dominic settle into an easy relationship, falling faster than either of them expected. But with Halloween approaching, the possibility of danger increases. The past is not always as it seems, and the ripples of a tragic event threaten to put an end to everything between them.
Having previously read a Christmas themed book by Annabelle Jacobs (Magic & Mistletoe) which i loved, I was really looking forward to this Halloween spooky read and it didn't disappoint.
"Mirrors are rumoured to be portals to the spirit realm."
All Hallow's Eve was an intriguing, ghostly, angsty M/M romance. Which kept me captivated from the first chapter. We start off in the past with Alexander being banished of this plane by is brother and family for he has been found guilty of practising dark, evil magic, Blood Magic. Alexander thinking their magic is no rival to his, believes he will be able to return. That is until Isaac reveals that all family member's will now bare the mark/tattoo stopping him from returning.
Now we jump forward to 2016 to Dominic and Alice who are direct descendant's of the Ashworth family. They know why they bare the mark and the history of the family home. So when Dominic's father sells the property both Dominic and Alice need to make sure that whoever is living their now is protected to stop Alexander's return. Dominic returns to the home and this is where he meets Caleb the house mate to the owners son Zach. While Zach is a descendant even though he is unaware of the history Caleb isn't.
There is instant chemistry between Dominic and Caleb but as their relationship develops strange things begin to happen. This is where the twist's and turn's of this read start's, leading us through a mixture of romance, mysteries and ghostly happenings.
Now i'm not going to give to much away and believe me there's a lot more going on that meets the eye and by giving you everything where would be the fun in that. Annabelle Jacob's has done an amazing job with this haunting read and i would recommend both author and book.
