Samuel Clearwater, A.K.A Preppy, likes bowties, pancakes, suspenders, good friends, good times, good drugs, and a good f*ck.

He’s worked his way out from beneath a hellish childhood and is living the life he’s always imagined for himself. When he meets a girl, a junkie on the verge of ending it all, he’s torn between his feelings for her and the crippling fear that she could be the one to end the life he loves.

Andrea ‘Dre’ Capulet is strung out and tired.

Tired of living for her next fix. Tired of doing things that make her stomach turn. Tired of looking in the mirror at the reflection of the person she’s become. Just when she decides to end it all, she meets a man who will change the course of both their lives forever.

And their deaths.

For most people, death is the end of their story.
For Preppy and Dre, death was only the beginning.

This is the fifth book in the King Series and it's meant to be read after Soulless.

"Miss me, motherfuckers?"

The Queen of Cliffhangers is back and oh how we'd love to hate you but when you give us heart racing, captivating, humours dark reads all is forgiven, All Hail the Queen!!!

Preppy has been my most highly anticipated read of 2016 and i was not disappointed it was everything and more. I am glad Preppy's persona wasn't changed i didn't want him to become just all hearts and flowers, i already new he had a caring side from how he treated Doe, Grace, his friends and even the Granny Growers in his own Preppy way. So i loved that he was his crazy self when it came to Dre.
"But I motherfucking digress."
Andrea (Dre) comes into his life as a junkie who has hit rock bottom. When she's caught robbing from one of the GG's. She's damaged and flawed but she has strength she may not see that, but the way she's trying to save herself shows that she's not completely beyond repair. The attraction she feels towards Preppy is really well explored and I loved that we get to see the fear and confusion that she experiences about what she is feeling, as well as her inevitable fall for the crazy quirky Bowtie wearing guy, who she see's as the person who saved her life.

"The first stirring of any kind of desire in over a year comes courtesy of the devil in a bow tie.
Man, I was really fucked up."

The relationship side is slow developing and has it's high's and it's low's there's is lots of drama and angst as both Preppy and Dre confront the demons of their past. To figure out their feelings for each other and deal with their pasts. It’s dark, dirty and twisted, with lots of surprises along the way, there's also a lot of humour albeit Preppy's weird but highly addictive humour.

“Why do you have a gun?” I asked, without thinking of how stupid my question really was. Maybe, if he ever put his god dammed shirt back on, my case of stupid would turn back off.
“Why do I have a gun?” he repeated, like it was the ridiculous question that it was. “’Cause throwing bullets by hand isn’t exactly effective.”

I devoured this book i felt every single moment and every emotion with this read. T.M Frazier writing is flawless she pulls you in from the very first page and never lets you go. I Highly recommend both Author and Series i think i'm quite obsessed as i have all books on my kindle, paperback and audio!!
Paging Dr. Clearwater!!
We have one obsessed T.M Frazier stalker in the UK who requires her injection.
