Take one sexy bartender. Add a badass cop. A splash of
sweet, that's me. One sour, that's him... and serve over ice.
That’s how you’ll get to my current situation.
You know the girl - the one who commands the scene, bottle of liquor in hand, pouring liquid fire into the willing throats of patrons as they let loose at the local bar?
That's me.
I may be known as the town party girl, but in reality I'm this close to my dream of opening my own bar - McConaugheys. Yes, it will be named after the acclaimed actor. What can I say? I’m a sucker for that sexy Texan.
Everything was going as planned until the night I had a few drinks and accepted a ride home from a friend. A misunderstanding leads to an arrest, and now I'm at the mercy of the one man I can’t stand, and trust me, the feeling is definitely mutual.
Adam Reingold is six-feet-tall and built like a stallion -- the man is the epitome of male. He also happens to be the town narc and hates my guts. There’s a story to our past and it's not a pretty one.
So, now, here I am, chained to him for the summer like a hardened criminal, doing whatever he tells me to do. Problem is, I can’t help but look at him when he’s not watching and wonder what our future could be like if things were different.
There are so many reasons why he’s all wrong for me. Even more reasons why I need to stay away from him.
It’s a cocktail of trouble. Best served shaken, not stirred.

I have been Wrecked, I have fell in love with this book!! Adam & Leah's story is a heartbreakingly beautiful read. Jeannine Colette is a new to me author and this book right here is one of the reasons I love to read and blog. I started this book today and could not put it down.
"For the heart finds comfort in the moments cherished with the touch of hand."
Wrecked was a fantastic read, well written and i was pulled into the story from the beginning. We get glimpses into thier past which really add depth and meaning to this read. Adam and Leah were best of friends, with their friendship taking a surprising turn that neither one expected. Sadly one afternoon their lives and friendship changed forever. When tragedy strikes leaving these two with a lot of guilt and hate.
Eight years on and Leah is a pub bartender and soon to be owner of the Bucking Bronco (aka McConaughy’s). She's the life and sole of a party and pretty much is everyone’s best friend. She loves her job, family, and best friends. Adam is the town's local brooding Police Officer he keeps himself to himself. And while they still live in the same town they are barely tolerable of each other. But all is not as it seems with their feelings.
And all it takes is one drunken night with Leah's "friend" crashing her car and leaving Leah to face the music. Leah is left no choice and agrees to make a deal with Adam no charge for 100 hours of community. She just didn't realise the deal would be her working with Adam building homes for the community. In turn making them realise the friendship they had lost and the feeling that are still very much their for them both.
The chemistry between Adam and Leah is undeniable and their sexual tension is off the charts. There is so much more that they are hiding between them and while they both know it, they both fight hard to deny it, thus giving us a sweet slow burn.
I felt every bit of their, drama, hate, love, fear and terror. I was invested in these two characters right from the beginning. And was left gripping my kindle fighting with my emotions wanting these two, to get their HEA!!
Along with their love story there was some very touching moments with Leah's family and funny ones too. This story really had it all for me and will stay with me forever.
