I love her writing like most people i fell in love with her books reading the Amazing This Man Trilogy and the delectable Jesse Ward!! and when i found out we were getting a new JEM novel i was so excited and couldn't wait to read. If you love a fast-paced, suspenseful romance with a true alpha male and a strong heroine, then get to one clicking because this is the book for you.

The Protector had the romance that I crave, it also had hot chemistry and suspense that kept me enthralled. Trying to find out who was the threat after Camille and what the big mystery was kept me on the edge and it was written very well. It didn't take over the story, yet it also wasn't shoved in the background until the very end. Throughout the whole book I was questioning everything and everyone trying to figure out what was actually going on. I loved that I wasn't able to figure it out and was kept in the dark the whole time, making me even more desperate to find out.
Jake is all alpha he's a strong mysterious sexy character but he has a dark side which made him more intriguing. His past is haunting him and stopping him from moving forward that is until the blonde bombshell that is Camille enters into his life. I wasn't expecting to like Camille at first thinking she was going to be just a rich spoiled daddy's girl but she was nothing like that she fights to have her independence she's head strong which lead to some funny and hot, sexy confrontations with Jake.
“You’re my home now,” I tell him. “Wherever you are, that’s my home.”
There are parts within this story that will melt your heart and were written beautifully you can't help to swoon and fall in love over and over again. Jodi Ellen Malpas has delivered a captivating story with suspense, mystery and sexual tension and i freaking loved it. As much as i loved Jake i have to say Jesse Ward will always be my favorite
