Synopsis:
It's time to come home, Finn.

It’s been seven years since Daniel Finley left his hometown in Florida for the hustle and bustle of Chicago’s city life.
Since then, he’s worked hard for his position at the prestigious law firm Leighton & Associates, even when it’s caused distance and isolation from his family and friends. But that’s all about to change.

On his thirtieth birthday, he receives the one thing he never dared hope for. Something that was promised to him years earlier—a note. One simple sentence from the man he’s never been able to forget.

Six words will forever change the course of their lives.

Brantley Hayes has it all. Or so he thinks. When he first made the decision to take a job down in Florida, his family thought he was crazy. But, after years of living in the quiet beach town, he finally feels a sense of community. He’s surrounded himself with friends who are like family, has a job he loves, and owns a spectacular beachfront property that is his sanctuary.

Yet he still feels unfulfilled, as if a piece of the puzzle is missing, and he knows exactly which piece it is. On an impulse, he follows through with a promise he made years earlier. A promise to call home the one he sent away.

Nothing is as simple as it seems.

After years of separation, the former lovers are reunited, but Brantley wasn’t expecting to encounter the high walls now guarding Daniel’s heart.
Daniel may not be the same person he was when he left, but he knows that the first step to healing is the note in his hand

Finely is a spin off from the Temptation Series, we meet Daniel Finley as the Arrogant Cocksure successful lawyer from Chicago who represented Tate in his personal injury claim. Although Daniel was very Cocky he was also intriguing, so I was glad when I found out this was going to be his book. This book is a spin off and a full standalone. You don't have to have read Temptation to enjoy this, but I highly recommend you do because it's so worth the read.

The story starts on Finn's thirtieth birthday when he receives a note from the only man he's ever loved & who broke his heart seven years early in his hometown in Florida. Nothing was ever going to stop Finn from going home to get the answers he's always want from Brantley as to Why he did what he did.
Brantley Hayes is a successful professor, but seven years ago he watched his heart leave with the man that still holds it trying to do the right thing by Finn. As the years have gone by nothing has diminished those feelings, but he also knows that it's done nothing to diminish Finn's anger over how everything went down as well.
Finn arrives back home & is greeted by his oldest friend Derek Pearson "You fancy-ass motherfucker"
I loved Derek's personality no holds barred funny as shit attitude, who didn't have a problem in telling Finn a few home truths.
The first meeting between Finn & Brantley is intense & the chemistry is undeniable with Brantley soon realising that Finn is no longer the same man that left the easy going and flirty in nature man has now become the new self assured still cocky but dominate man which Brantley finds even more attractive if that's possible.

Even though the tension is there, there is no doubting the love that they both hold for each other is strong even if they are both unsure of the direction to take.
I absolutely loved the dual POV & the way that Ella Frank managed to integrate very well timed flashbacks to work with the story. They were well paced and perfectly timed, for me the flashbacks added even more to the story in showing the role reversal between the two lovers past & present.
"Now I'm right back where I was before I left."
                                               "And where's that?"
"Tangled up in you," he whispered against his ear. "It's always been you."

Finn tries to fight falling back into old feelings but loving each other was never a problem, And Brantley is willing to take Finn any which way he can have him.
"I want you. And I'm selfish enough to keep you for as long as you let me."

                                                "I love my teacher."
"I know and he loves you"

This book had everything I love in a story background, flirtatiousness, romance, drama & Hot Alpha Males. The added bonus towards the end of the book had me giddy & smiling like the Cheshire cat but glad it was only a small part & didn't distract from Finley. And there's something unfinished with Jordan and Derek!!!! Can't wait to see where this series leads. I would most definitely recommend.
Ella Frank you've done it again!!!!
