In this second of the sultry, Western-set Coming Home series from New York Times bestselling author Harper Sloan, Quinn Davis might finally have a shot at her own happily-ever-after—but will she let love in, or will she tell it to go ahead and kiss her boots? Quinn Davis prefers to live her life quietly. She’s the stereotypical tomboy with two overprotective big brothers who have always been there to protect her, especially from devilishly handsome cowboys with silver tongues. That is, until Tate Montgomery comes riding into town. Their first meeting, however, is far from something out of a fairy tale and only further convinces Quinn that men aren’t worth her time. Tate returns to his childhood hometown to start his life over and get a second chance at happiness. He might not remember Quinn from the summer vacations that he used to spend on his PawPaw’s farm but all it takes is one glance, and he can’t get the raven-haired beauty out of his mind. Can two people who have stopped believing in love take a chance to find it in each other? Or will the pain of the past prove too great a hurdle to conquer?

       REVIEW

Kiss My Boots is the second standalone in the Coming Home Series. It's a second chance romance but also its about sacrifice, sacrifices made for the one we love but never giving up hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Quinn Davis is feisty, sassy and can fix anything with an engine. She loves and adores her two older, over protective brothers Clay and Maverick the only other constant is her best friend Leighton. But underneath all that sassy is an emotional vulnerable woman. Her past of abandonment by her mother a verbally aggressive father and a broken heart from the one who she thought would be her future. Has effected how she loves and trust's in her adult life.

"He taught me trust. He showed me love. Then he gave me pain."

Tate Montgomery spent his summers with his grandparents in Pine Oak away from his controlling parents. He became friends and fell in love with Quinn Davis. Summers quickly became everything to him. Until his happiness was took away from him. He's stayed away for 9 years. Now he's finally free from the ties that kept him away. Nothing is going to stop him from fighting and returning to the one place and woman that has always felt like home.

"Anyone dumb enough to try and stand in our way can just kiss my damn boots."

I adored Quinn and Tate's story it was fun, flirty and a whole lot of sass. I liked the fact that there wasn't any over the top angst. It was about forgiveness and just moving forward with happiness. But to be honest it wasn't just their relationship that kept me hooked. Its was the relationship between Quinn and her brothers their bond was beautiful. Now I'm desperate to get my hands on Clay's story. Because i know that man is going to put my heart through the wringer.
I can't wait for this next Cowboy's story!!
