everything.
No one understood me like Dash. No one made me feel so
loved. That’s why, when he skipped town, it wrecked me.
Now I’m older. Wiser. I’ve just snagged my dream job,
writing at a film studio. The lead animator on my project?
You guessed it.
He’s not the boy next door. Not anymore.

REVIEW
This is my first Ella James read so i had no expectations going into this book.
Amelia writes children’s stories, on the first day of her summer internship at Imagine Luxe she discovers that the main animator, she has been teamed up with is none other than Dash Frasier. See this isn't the first time Amelia has met Dash he was also "the boy next door" who had abandoned her at a very vulnerable time. Amelia’s emotions are twisted. She still cares for the boy who broke her heart but she’s still dealing with her feelings of abandonment.
Dash has always known Amelia is special, but he also knows he screwed things up. He's keeping secrets from her and has for a very long time. Dash feels shame, and guilt with the secret, with the secrets and lies Dash doesn't feel that he is worthy of Amelia. He needs time to process how he's going to finally be able to tell her all, but the pull towards Amelia is strong.
After finishing i really am in two minds! There were parts that i enjoyed, the end was wonderful and really brought a smile to my face. I enjoyed the plot and i was glad of the HEA Ella James wrote at the end i really needed that after the secret was revealed.
(Spoiler don't read if you don't want to know)
There was one part i really felt uncomfortable about. It wasn't the shock factor of a detail in the story that made me uncomfortable it was the fact that....
I felt that Dash had been groomed and raped! yes i understand that he felt he was a horny sixteen year old and was as much to blame for what happened. The way Ella James wrote this part was very well written and no where did she give the feels that this was ok. And i have no doubt anyone who reads this will have the same opinion. But for me it really left me with mixed emotions and feelings.
I will say this is the only part within this story that i didn't like.
