Marked by Drew Elys is the first book in her new series Sailors Grave. And Wow! I wasn't expecting such an emotional story. Marked gave you all the feels with such a realistic story of one woman’s struggle through loss and her journey of learning to love again.
The relationship between these two characters is utter perfection. I absolutely adored Liam he was so sweet, patient, understand and loving. The care he showed Kate and Owen was swoon worthy. You may be thinking he won't be all Alpha but he most definitely was. He just had the respect and understanding of when to push and when to pull back.
My heart hurt for Kate and all that she had and was going through. But while trying to figure out her emotions and feelings. I loved her strength and how hard she loved, even when it hurt her. Her journey was a long one with a lot of ups and downs. But to read as she worked through it all and coming out stronger for it, was a absolutely beautifully written. Definitely a slow burn you will love.
