Rascal has kicked started us of on Katie
McCoy's new series Rascals. Centred around five friends that have come together to open up a bar. This is Emerson and Alex's story.
Alex is head strong and pushing forward trying to secure her position at one of the best law firms in Chicago. Alex wants and needs to achieve more, have more, than she did growing up. Being a Lawyer and making a future through all her hard work is her goal.
Emerson is opening a bar with his four best friends, "Rascals". He wants and needs Rascals to be a success. Him and his friends have all put so much time, money and sweat. Trying to achieve something that started from a chat into an idea, building, branding and opening of this bar. He also wants to prove to his father that this isn't just a hobby and he's really making something of him self. Other than what his father wants, who is putting pressure on him to follow in his footsteps.
Alex and Emerson meet in an awkward situation but share an instant attraction. The passion, heat and quick banter made for an easy read. Throw in a little angst, and a great group of friends. Both weren't looking for this relationship but it happened at just the right time for them. What was thought to be a distraction from their goals turn out to be what helped them to achieve just what they wanted.
Rascal is a fun and sweet, quick read. I'm excited to see what these men at Rascals have in store for us.
